Terms of service

Fair terms, plainly written.

If you use fadr, you agree to these terms. We've kept them as short and human as legally possible.

Last updated: April 2026

1. Who we are

fadr is made by Valid LLC ("we", "us", "our"), a limited liability company. These terms govern your use of the fadr macOS application, the fadr website, and any related services.

2. Your license

When you purchase fadr, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to install and use the app for your personal use on up to three Macs that you own. You may not:

  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute fadr or your license key
  • Reverse-engineer or decompile the app, except as allowed by law
  • Use fadr in a way that violates applicable laws

Your license includes free updates forever. If we ever decide to ship a major paid upgrade (we don't plan to, but never say never), you will still be able to keep using the version you bought indefinitely.

3. Free trial

New installations start a 14-day trial automatically. During the trial, all features are available. No credit card is required to begin the trial. When the trial ends, fadr will stop functioning until you enter a valid license key.

4. Payment

Purchases are handled by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy. Prices are shown in US dollars. Applicable sales tax or VAT is added at checkout based on your location. fadr is a one-time purchase with no recurring charges.

5. Refunds

We offer a 30-day refund window. If you bought fadr and it isn't working out, email hello@fadr.app within 30 days of purchase and we will process a full refund without asking you to justify it.

6. Updates and discontinuation

We intend to ship regular updates to keep fadr compatible with new macOS releases and new Mac hardware. If we ever decide to stop actively developing fadr, we will continue to offer downloads of the last stable version to existing license holders for at least one year after the announcement.

7. No warranty

fadr is provided "as is" and "as available". While we take our work seriously and test carefully, we do not warrant that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. Using a trackpad utility is at your own risk; we are not liable for data loss, mis-adjusted volume, or a workday interrupted by a buggy release.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Valid LLC's total liability for any claim arising from your use of fadr is limited to the amount you paid us for the app (which, as you know, is $3.99). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page and, if significant, through the app's release notes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

11. Contact

Legal or account questions can go to hello@fadr.app. We read every email and try to reply within one business day.
